DEATH: BROWN - BAYFIELD NEWS - Word was received by D. Mc. Isaac, Rock Barra on Jan. Angus Brown in Dorchester, Mass., who died on Jan. His wife predeceased him last July. He leaves a family to mourn. MARRIAGE: WHALEN- MACDONALD - A very pretty wedding was solemnized in the Little Flower Church, Morell, on the morning of Nov. Marion Josephine, daughter of Mr. James Whalen of Morell East, and Joseph, son of Angus Mac. Donald of West St. Peter's, were united in the Holy bonds of matrimony. The ceremony was performed by Reverend Joseph Rooney in the presence of immediate relatives and friends. The bride was attired in a blue swagger suit, with hat, shoes and accessories to match. She was attended by Miss Margaret Mac. Guire who wore a brown swagger suit, and accessories to match. The groom was ably supported by Mr. Ronald Mac. Donald. After the ceremony was performed, the happy couple motored to the home of the bride, where a sumptuous wedding breakfast was partaken of by many invited guests, among them was Reverend Joseph Rooney. A very enjoyable hour was spent in music, singing and dancing, after which the bridal party motored to the different centres of the Island returning to the home of the groom at 6 p. Mac. BROWN - The many relatives and friends in this province were shocked to learn of the tragic death of Mr. Brown, being struck down by a speeding automobile as he crossed the street near his home on Dorchester Avenue, on the evening of January 4th and died a few hours later at the Carney Hospital at the age of 6. He was a native of Souris, P. E. I. The driver of the car has been apprehended and is being held pending an investigation. Coming to Boston when he was 1. Mr. Brown gradually built up a reputation as a builder, and at the time of his death was one of the best known contractors in greater Boston. He married Margaret E. Mc. Brown's parents, the late Mrs. Annie (Brown) Mc. Isaac and Ronald Mc. Isaac. The funeral from his residence 6 Remington Street, Dorchester, Mass. Conroy, aged 8. 5 years. Intyre vault in St. Peter's Bay Cemetery, where repose the mortal remains of his father and mother and several members of the family as well as those of the much esteemed Bishop Mc. Intyre. PETER MACINTYRE - Of the many vacancies created in St. Margaret's parish by the hand of Death during the year just closed, none is more noticeable than that from the passing to her eternal reward of Mrs. Peter Mac. Intyre, at the advanced age of 9. Seventy years ago as the youthful bride (nee Catherine Mc. Cormack) of the late Peter Mac. Intyre, she came to the place now known as Armadale, to be in every respect a helpmate in winning from the primeval conditions then confronting them a home and competence that now stands in silent and impressive testimony to what was there achieved.
